Mr. Gabor Karsai
Executive Secretary
Mr. Gábor Karsai (born 17 January 1974) is a Hungarian Buddhist philosopher, scholar of religion, and academic leader known internationally for his work in Buddhist studies, philosophy, and interfaith dialogue. He serves as the Rector of Dharma Gate Buddhist College in Budapest, Hungary, a prominent Buddhist higher-education institution. He is also the Managing Director of Mind & Life Europe, an organization that fosters dialogue between science and contemplative traditions such as Buddhism.

Karsai’s academic interests include process philosophy, phenomenology, and the study of Buddhism, and he has taught philosophy, philosophy of consciousness, and related subjects at the college. Over the past two decades, he has held leadership and management roles in various international organizations, including the Spirit of Humanity Forum (Iceland), the Education 4 Peace Foundation (Switzerland), and the Ling Jiou Mountain Buddhist Society (Taiwan).

He is also active in interfaith and cultural initiatives, such as organizing dialogues between religious traditions and representing his institution in events that bridge Buddhist teachings with broader cultural and ethical discussions.
