Venerable Phra Medhivajarapundit (Hansa Dhammahaso) is currently a Full Professor of the International Buddhist Studies College of Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University and also a Secretary to the Rector, Director of the International Association of Buddhist Universities (IABU), and Director of the International Buddhist Studies College (IBSC), Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University. He is also a very skilled teacher, and the courses he teaches fall in the areas of Buddhism and Modern Hermeneutics, Seminar on Buddhism and Peaceful Means Studies (Ph.D.), Buddhism and Current Affairs, Buddhist Philosophy, Seminar on Buddhism (MA), and Engaged Buddhism. Phramaha Hansa is often invited to lecture at government and private sector schools and businesses. For example, he has lectured and taught at Thammasat and Chulalongkorn Universities and he has given seminars at Government Institutes such as the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, the Ministry of Interior, and the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment. Venerable Phramaha Hansa Dhammahaso is also of course an experienced and meditation teacher.

One central theme of Venerable Phramaha Hansa Dhammahaso’s research, teaching, and administration is his dedication to the cause of using peaceful means to help prevent and manage societal problems. He encourages his associates, staff and students to skillfully engage with the broader society, and to do so with great mindfulness. He values scholarship highly and is himself an accomplished scholar. He encourages all to discover complementary and mutually beneficial directions for Buddhism and the sciences. However, he is a practical person at heart, and he often notes that we all need to apply our studies on the day to day level as much as possible. He says there is no time like the present to do so.
