Mr. Inthaporn Chan-Eam
Co-opt Member
Mr. Inthaporn Chan-Eam is a senior Thai government official serving as the Director of the National Office of Buddhism (NOB), the central agency responsible for managing Buddhist affairs and religious oversight in Thailand. In this role, he is involved in addressing key issues related to monastic discipline, financial transparency within temples, and collaboration with the Sangha Supreme Council on reform measures in the Buddhist community.

Mr. Inthaporn has been publicly cited in the administration’s efforts to tighten regulations on temple finances and work with government and monastic leaders to address misconduct within Buddhist institutions. Under his leadership, the NOB has proposed legal and regulatory changes to strengthen accountability for religious personnel and institutions.

As Director, he frequently engages with law enforcement, religious councils, and policymakers to implement reforms and ensure compliance with both civil and ecclesiastical standards. His work has included coordinating audits and enforcement actions related to financial management in temples and attending meetings aimed at amending religious governance laws.
